Andrea was introduced to American Mah Jongg and quickly fell in love with the game’s unique blend of strategy, challenge, and connection. Inspired by her experience, she pursued instructor accreditation and is committed to teaching according to National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules and standards, helping students build a strong, confident foundation for long-term success.

Andrea holds a degree in Biology from the University of Missouri and is a business owner and competitive triathlete with more than 25 years of experience. She was honored as Mrs. America 2010 and brings that same discipline, energy, and enthusiasm to her teaching.

She is married to Ryan and is the mother of three children. Andrea discovered Mah Jongg shortly after the passing of her mother, Kay, a fiercely competitive card and domino player. She often feels that when she plays and teaches, she is honoring both their shared love of games and the meaningful connection they continue to share through Mah Jongg.

Based in the St. Louis area, Andrea enjoys introducing new players to the game and creating a welcoming, engaging environment where students can learn, connect, and build confidence while enjoying one of the most rewarding games she has ever discovered.
