Emily is the co-founder of Tile & Toast, a wife, mother of two beautiful daughters, and a lifelong believer that the best conversations happen around a table.

Her Mah Jongg journey began when a gracious woman—now a lifelong friend—welcomed her to the table and taught her how to play. That act of kindness sparked not only a love for the game but also an appreciation for the community and friendships it creates.

As her passion for Mah Jongg grew, so did the community around her. What began as a group of women gathering at their country club to laugh, learn, and play inspired Emily to create something even bigger.

Together with her business partner, Molly, Emily co-founded Tile & Toast—a welcoming space where people can gather over a glass of bubbly or an Aperol Spritz while discovering the joy of Mah Jongg. United by a shared vision of fostering connection through the game, they are passionate about helping beginners build confidence and creating environments where friendships flourish.

Emily is committed to teaching according to National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules and standards and loves introducing new players to one of the most rewarding games she has ever discovered. Whether teaching a first Charleston, hosting Open Play, or welcoming someone new to the table, her goal is to ensure there is always a place where everyone feels they belong.
